Endpoint Overview & Architecture
Under SEBI regulations, every public offering in India must allocate a predetermined percentage of shares across designated investor categories: Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB, usually 50%), Non-Institutional Investors (NII/HNI, usually 15%), and Retail Individual Investors (RII, usually 35%).
Following recent regulatory reforms, the NII category is strictly divided into Small NII (sNII: applications between ₹2 Lakhs and ₹10 Lakhs, allocated 1/3rd of the NII tranche) and Big NII (bNII: applications above ₹10 Lakhs, allocated 2/3rds of the NII tranche). This endpoint provides exact share quantities and maximum allottee counts for each sub-category.
